Can't log in to Koodo (4 day old account) & broken website

I signed up 4 days ago and have been able to log in to my account with issue until this morning. Now it is saying: 

Your email and/or password don't match our records. Retry or reset your password. Your account may be temporarily locked after too many login attempts.


This is weird because my browser remembers my password and I didn’t have any failed log in attempts. I tried resetting my password, but even with the new password I get the same error (I also tried in a different browser and on other devices with no luck). I didn’t get any emails notifying me of failed login attempts / account being locked (which I assume would happen if anyone tried to log into my account who wasn’t me).

 

There’s no phone number or way to reach Koodo without logging it (how frustrating!).

What can I do here? 


So far signing up Koodo refused to accept my multiple Amex cards to buy the esim (despite it saying Amex was accepted, it took my Visa no problem… and yes my name and address match EXACTLY what was provided) and the self-serve / overview is broken. It wouldn’t let me add my free perk without contacting support and the overview was still telling me I had to transfer my number or select a new one and marks that step as incomplete yet I completed that step.


So far Koodo feels like broken mess… I have no idea how basic functionality on their website for new signups is so broken (Amex rejected for the first time out of hundreds of attempts elsewhere, can’t add/modify  perks, incomplete status given even though I finished it) and now I can’t even log in or reach support? I’m seriously thinking of just porting out this number already days after signing up, it’s such a miserable experience.

Anyway, perhaps I’ll overlook this if I can simply log in, any help?​​​​​

Have you tried clearing the cache and cookies on your browser? How about using another browser or device?

Are you on Koodo prepaid or postpaid service?

Does your koodo phone service still work?

Yes, as mentioned in my post I have tried multiple devices/browsers.

 

Are you on Koodo prepaid or postpaid service?

Does your koodo phone service still work?

 

I’m on postpaid ($27.50 80GB plan) and did (begrungily) link my bank account. The phone is still working (connected to 5G+ right now, data/calling/texting all work).

I was able to get Koodo to call me after using the chatbot.


The person I spoke with (who was pleasant and friendly) unlinked my account and relinked it. I was able to log in… ONCE. Then it went back to giving me the same error (clearing my cache, cookies, trying different devices etc.. nothing worked).

She said she’d put in a support ticket to the back end team, I asked when this would be resolved (I need to log in to check my usage as it’s a new service and what I do is somewhat data heavy so I’m monitoring things closely for a few weeks) she said it could take a week. ONE WEEK… I told her about all the other stuff that’s gone wrong in my short time in Koodo and she said she’d try to elevate it but couldn’t promise anything.

I then asked if I could be refunded my esim fee ($16.75) if I want to just cancel this gong show since I just signed up and cannot properly access the service and now have to wait a week in purgatory and she said probably not… and then had the nerve to try to sell me on Koodo internet at the end of the call lol.

Is this company a complete joke or what? Anyway if you’re still able to get an agent on this I’d appreciate it. I’m at my wits end here, I want to do another data test tonight to see how Koodo holds up but it’s pointless if I can’t log in to track my usage (or see my bill which should be due soon or… do anything). 

To call this a dumpster fire would be an understatement. Anyway I’ve wasted enough time on this for today :(

Sorry I swear I re read your post multiple times before I asked my question and I really really didnt see it.

 

Regarding your data tracking, are you not able to track your data usage on your phone’s data tracking in your settings?  What phone do you use?

Regarding your data tracking, are you not able to track your data usage on your phone’s data tracking in your settings?  What phone do you use?

Of course I can do that (I have Koodo on my 15 Pro right now) but that doesn’t always match the amount the carrier reports (I typically use 5-6GB in an outing and have seen the carrier be off by more than 1.5GB before vs. what the phone is reporting). 

So I need to see what Koodo is is showing since that’s what my plan is based on. Also that’s kind of besides the point, I should be able to access my account without having to wait a week.

Yes you “should” be able to access your account.  But it sounds like there is an unexpected issue/glitch.

In the mean time I suggest using your iphone’s data tracker or a 3rd party tracking app that has better accuracy.

Hi ​@Johnathan H ,

Have you also tried through an incognito tab in Chrome? Sometimes it works as a bypass and it should let you change the password by receiving the reset link via email.
