Can’t add my free perks

Hi there,
 

I'm new to Koodo and already frustrated. I have 2 lines and both have free perks. But every time I click or choose the perks I want it says cannot add at this time. Appreciate it if anyone could help me. Thanks

Hi ​@MaryGW, welcome to Koodo! Please let us know which perk you would like on each line (last 2 digits of the phone number in question is ok, thank you!) and we can try to add them for you here.

Thanks for your reply. Both lines last 2 digit number 85 and last 2 digit number 15, please add 5G Speed Boost.

Thank you for confirming ​@MaryGW  We have forwarded a request for the 5G Speed Boost to be added on each of your numbers as the free perk included in your plan. It usually takes 24-72 hours and the perk will show in the Self Serve account

Ok thanks. Just check my self-serve but it wasn't added yet. So I’ll wait a couple of days more

Hi there, 

I am so annoyed with this. Until now I still can't add the free perks for both of my lines. 

On a separate topic, Koodo also keep asking me to activate my Telus TV. I already added the day subscribed so why keep asking me? 

Koodo customer service is terrible. I don't know why Koodo make it so difficult to reach them. If this is how they treat new customers then they just pushing it away to go to other providers who highly value the customers concern.

Ah sometimes systems don't fully update. Is it automated emails or texts or is a Rep calling you?

I hope this will be resolved ASAP it's been 2 weeks since I signed up. 
 

I wish someone from Koodo would call me so I can raise all my concerns. Super annoying that everytime I login to my account keep asking me to add my free perks where “I CAN'T” and keeps asking me to activate

Can you show us a screenshot of the Telus TV activation message you are getting?

We  are sorry to hear the perks have not been updated.

We have checked and there is unfortunately no update regarding the perk, however we have notified the team again.

 

Regarding TELUS Films and Series that is included in Stream+, there is no need to activate it indeed, however if you log in via self serve using the TELUS TV+ app, you should no longer get the notifications to activate it. Please let us know if it works for you.

I understand that you guys are not the Koodo employees so I appreciate but this is more frustrating as I have to go to a third party instead of contacting Koodo directly

Looks like it giving you reminders to activate it. You're paying for nothing if you don't use it, so it seems fair for them to remind you that you paid for a service and need to activate it so it's not forgotten or neglected. Not much point in giving them money for nothing. A cynic would expect them to say nothing

THose with “Koodo”in their handlesjke Flo are Koodo employees. The rest of us aren't. It may not be as direct as you'd probably like, but it's still direct Koodo assistance available here, with other mediums to go to if it's beyond the scope of a public forum for information being divulged

@Goran As previously mentioned above my Telus has been activated on my part. What annoys me is keep reminding me where I already did. And the ones that I can't do and have not resolved by Koodo are the free perks” that it's been 2 weeks and still not added to my account. 

Anyway Thanks for all your replies. I got an email that I have to wait for 24 hours for the free perks to be added. I'm hoping that's true

You mentioned that you added the sbuscription but didn’t specify that you also activated it afterwards. Unless I’m missing something else.

indeed it’s frustrating to still be waiting 2 weeks on. It’s not really known why some people can’t even get it in the 48-72 hours given by support if they can’t change it themselves. Hopefulyl it’ll work this time for you.

Looks like it is just an email.

Yes it can be a little annoying, My suggestion is that you just ignore it and delete it.
