Can't activate seasonal hold on self serve?

I want to activate seasonal hold but when I go to “mobile services” and click “pause my plan temporarily”, I get to a page called “review your changes” but then the page gets stuck loading indefinitely and there’s no button to activate seasonal hold. I tried using incognito mode, different browsers and even tried different devices but the same thing happens.

Sounds like a browser cache issue. Try clearing your cookies and cache completely, then log back in fresh. If that doesn’t work, wait a bit and try again later; self-serve sometimes has temporary glitches.

If you’re on a monthly tab, you actually can’t do this through self-serve anyway; you’d need to contact a rep through Koodo’s chatbot at koodo.com/chat to set it up. Only prepaid plans can activate seasonal hold through self-serve.

What type of plan are you on?

Prepaid is not eligible for Seasonal hold - if you have prepaid, it won’t work.

If postpaid, I would follow Robert's other point about clearing your cache and cookies as this may help. In addition, if you have a VPN try turning it off and trying again.

If that doesn’t work, I can flag a rep on this platform to look into the problem and help put you on a seasonal hold.

Just note this would change your plan to either $15 per month if you own the device or $30 + tab if you’re on a 2yr term. When you later reactivate off of a seasonal hold, you will have to choose a new in market plan and may not receive what you had previously.

I’m on a monthly plan. When I say “seasonal hold” to Koodo Assist it instructs me to “select the option Pause my plan temporarily under Phone services”. I’ve already tried all the browser-based solutions that I know of (incognito mode, guest mode, different browsers, different devices) repeatedly on different days and at different times.

I don’t have a VPN. I also just tried using mobile data instead of home wifi and it didn’t work.

Just make sure that you’re logged into the community using your self serve credentials and they should be able to help. 🙂

Just to confirm, are you currently traveling outside of Canada or still residing in Canada? As well, Is the account bill is zero (all bills were paid?)

Just to double check, have you already cleared cache and cookies in your browser and tried on a different browser/device?
