In order to receive a scheduled call back with an agent, does my phone have to be taken off airplane mode?

Yes, you would need to have the phone connected to the network, so you can receive the call back!
If you are roaming, you won’t be charged for the call received from the Koodo rep. Just make sure you have data turned off, and don’t make other calls or send texts.

If you do not have Wi-Fi calling enabled, then yes that is correct. Airplane mode disconnects you from the cell towers, so if you’re not using Wi-Fi calling for the call then you would need to turn it off.
