Question

How to activate wifi calling? Blackview BV5500Plus, Ulephone Power Armor, Moto Z phones...

Hello,

Account is post-paid, Blackview is in use at the moment, VoLTE seems active on account.

In settings Koodo network is selected,

Prefered network is 4G,

Wifi calling is activated,

Calling preference is Call over Wifi,

but I don’t see anything indicating to enter a code or such…

My home Wifi speed is over 100M.

My cell signal at home keeps jumping from 4G (1-2 bars) to 3G (1-2 bars).

Never was able to call over wifi before… 2 days ago we had no cell service on all our phones and no way to use wifi to call, next day cell service was back…

Sooooo, how do I get to make calls over wifi?

Thanks.

Did this help you find an answer to your question?

Unfortunately, your phone is not available for wifi calling. You can refer to the following link for a list of compatible devices. https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/wifi-calling

Yes, I saw that list, but if my phone has a setting for wifi calling should it not work?

After going through 6 phones in 2 years (Moto & Samsung) I decided to get a better phone…

Since I’m a welder and steel dust kills microphones and speakers I had to get a phone that would last because replacing speakers and microphones cost more than a new phone, hence the BV and Ulefone, which I’ve had for 2 years so far.

So do I have to change carriers to get wifi calling?

Thank you.

I am sure other carriers have a list of compatible devices as well. It is best to do your research before making the switch.
