I don’t understand why they would turn on a feature that I needed to wait over a week to disable and only after posting on this forum, how long is this going to take now to resolve?! Someone at Koodo enabled voicemail feature on my phone.

@K  Hi there!  We have taken a look at your account. Just so you understand and to help others as well, we will explain what happened!

Koodo didn’t reactivate your VM without your authorization. Technically, you did. The reason it is now active again is that you changed your rate plan recently.  Therefore, everything that comes included in the new rate plan is automatically active.

Hope this helped.

If you want, we can deactivate the VM again.  Please let us know. :)

Koodo is the one that enabled the voicemail.

I changed my plan sometime ago, and the voicemail was turned on today at 9:40am (that did not happen when I changed my plan) and it shows me I have a voicemail waiting, which I can not access, because the system is WELCOMING ME TO THE VOICIEMAIL and wants to help me set it up.

Remove that message notification on my phone and turn off the voicemail that you enabled.

We can see every transaction or change on the account, We assure you that our explanation is correct. The last interaction/change on your account was 01/01/2023 12:59 PM, when you changed your plan.

I put the example/proof above.

Also, we confirm that your VM has been deactivated. If you want to reactivate or if you change your rate plan in the future, you will need to reach out to an agent again.

Hope this helped.

The proof only shows that Koodos system is not configured correctly, for it to enabled a voicemail 18 days after I changed my plan.

Today is Jan 19, 2023, voicemail enabled at 9:40AM today.

If the voicemail was enabled the day off or the day after or the week off I would understand, but enabling it and letting someone leave me a voicemail, 18 days after plan change, is on Koodo not me.

I still have a vociemail message notification on my phone.

Koodo had me re-setup the voicemail, pin, my name, and my greeting, in order to be able to delete this message notification, and disabled the voicemail.

All of which were enabled by Koodo 18 days after plan change.

Rather than complaining incessantly, how about thanking Boa_Guy for responding so promptly and turning off your voicemail as requested?
