Hi Koodo gurus,

Yesterday I bought an iPhone 13 mini to replace my good ol’ iPhone 6. The guy at the Apple Store told me all I have to do is put the two phones close to each other with bluetooth and wifi ON,  and all the data, apps, settings, etc would transfer via iCloud.

But do I first have to take the SIM card out of the iPhone 6 and put it into the iPhone 13 mini?

thank you!

Normally the phone needs to be activated before the apple iPhone transfer process. So you could put the SIM from the old phone to the new one first.

thank you Dinh. I will put the SIM from the old phone into the new phone first. I don’t know how to activate the new phone, but maybe that will be obvious to me after I put the SIM into it.

The steps are pretty straightforward and easy to do. The prompts on the iPhone’s screen will most likely guide you.
