Hi,

So I’m trying to buy a Google Pixel 8a outright, and I’d like to keep my current plan because it’s just honestly more ideal for me, but every time I select “keep your current plan” I get directed back to the order page and it asks me to select a plan...which I already did and even if I click on keep my current plan option it goes right back. The paradox continues.

I’ll attach a picture of what I’m seeing because it’s saying “null” for my messaging so something is definitely up. And also I’m upgrading from a Google Pixel 4a and I don’t know if that has to do with.

Hopefully the issue is just something I’m not seeing but I would really appreciate the help!

(Edit: Sorry I forgot to attach the picture too many distractions around me xD)

Hi @stephthetired

The plan is an older plan, which may one of the reasons why it doesn’t let you moving forward with the purchase.

Have you tried opening the browser in incognito mode and see if it allows you to go to the next step?

Also, if you try to pick a different plan, is it still the same issue?

The Pixel 8a is currently on a great deal, when you buy it on tab plus or mid, as you’d only pay for the phone $6.04 for 24 months (as long as you keep the agreement for 24 months): https://www.koodomobile.com/en/phones/google-pixel-8a

Hi Flo,

Thanks for the suggestion! I gave the incognito mode a shot but I still had the same problem unfortunately.

When I go to select one of the other newer plans, in this case I went with the $50 with 50gbs, it does allow me to go with that and proceed with the purchase thankfully.

I had considered the Pixel deal but if I did go with it I’d be paying more monthly and that’s definitely what I’d like to avoid. I’d rather pay the chunk up front and keep the monthly bill around the same.

So sounds like I have to bite the bullet and upgrade my plan pretty much?

If you want to buy a Pixel 8a from Koodo outright, why not buy it from Google store?

They are selling from $679 and they have color choices too.

And you can keep your plan.

I don't know what is your current price plan, and how much increase the plan price. But at least you can compare the prices between them before you make decisions.

Hey!

Thank you for the heads up. I do prefer that price. I just wasn’t sure if I would be able to keep my plan if I tried that route. If I do need to upgrade to a newer plan the one I’m looking at vs my current plan aren’t much different aside from a ton of GBs which I really don’t need. I just want to keep my plan below $60 monthly really.

Again, thanks for the help! I’ll look into both options then. Much appreciated!
