Upgrading Phone and then Switching

Hello all,

 

So, we have 2 lines on our account.

One line has a few months of tab balance left (Galaxy S20) , the other has no tab. The one with no tab has a very old no name phone and needs an upgrade.

Is it possible to order a new phone (Galaxy S21) with a tab and then do a switch of sim cards, so that the person with the Galaxy S20 can use the Galaxy S21 and the person with the old phone gets the Galaxy S20?

Their plans also would not be affected by this right?

Once you buy the phone you can use it on any line you please.

Correct. Who uses the phone is in a way separate from the billing side of it so that won’t be effected.

I am on postpaid and bought a phone on tab which I gave to my husband on prepaid. No problems at all in his using it.

That’s the whole thing behind sim cards. You put it in any phone you want anytime. You could just leave your sim card in a drawer and Koodo will happily take your money still.
