I cant see on the main Samsung site that explicitly says it has esim support (i may have missed seeing it).

To confirm Dennis, Yes, the new Samsung A16 that is sold by koodo supports E-Sim. This is one of the upgraded features from the previous A15. Some extra information on the device can be found in the screenshot below

I am currently using an A71 (from 2021 (if I am not mistaken)) and I tried using my other older iPhone SE which have esim support when in NYClast year and esim worked flawless.

Having a new and economically priced phone with this additional feature will be nice, especially you travel outside Canada.

No so that's actually one of the main differences between the a15 and the a16. The A15 does not offer the Esim feature
