How can I get the lost e-sim back and reactivate it on a new device?
how can I buy an e-sim online since, I’m not in Canada and won’t be back for a while. I would rather do this whole process online.

Unfortunately, there is no option to complete it online. You will need to get someone to purchase an eSIM voucher from the nearest Koodo store or authorized dealer and update it on your Self-Serve account. https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/koodo-sim-support

You will need a new esim and only through a voucher
I highly recommend you get a friend or family in canada to purchase an esim and they can email you the QR code for you to scan and set up on your new phone.

So, if someone buys me the sim in Canada can i set it up elsewhere (without having the physical sim with me)?

Also, it’s not very clear how this works. I am looking to replace my e-sim but online I only see to purchase a sim, not an ‘e-sim’.

Could someone help me clarify the process? (do i need to put the physical sim card on my phone first???)

You will need an esim voucher.  This voucher is a QR code that will contain a blank esim.  You can use this QR code to complete a sim swap via self serve.

These vouchers can be purchased from a Koodo kiosk and your friend/family can take a photo of it and send it to you to scan so the esim is scanned onto your phone.  Make sure they do not scan and activate the esim as it is a one time use code.

You cannot just buy a blank esim online.

There is one option in self-service allowing you to recover deleted eSIM. Have you look into it? Go to self-service and choose Mobile services>> Get help with SIM and eSIM and follow the option there.
