Currently on Koodoo with a paid off phone.
I'm sort of waiting on Koodoo to release the newest Motolora. I have my eye on the Motorola Edge 50 1tb. - a new release.
Do I have to buy it from an online retailer and bring it in, or will Koodoo eventually back the phone?

It is currently not being offered on the Koodo page. Did you reach out to big-box retailers such as Best Buy and Walmart to see if it is available?
It is difficult to say. Koodo doesn't announce when what phones they will carry in the future. You just need to check their website on a regular basis.
If Telus carries it then there is a chance koodo will as well, but the 1TB version is unlikely. Koodo carries very few 1TB sized phones

It was the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra 1 TB. I forgot the Ultra. It was supposed to release mass market in first or second quarter this year. I see the S25 is on the site.
As far as size of memory I'm afraid it's a deal breaker. I have a 256gb S22 regular that I have fully filled (mostly with my massive music collection and some bigger online games).
I am also biased towards Iphone because of some complaints I had towards Itunes.
I could just go for a S24 or a S25 but I find them very bulky and I wanted to check my options through other Android. I'm sorry if I seem picky...
There’s nothing to apologize for with what you want.
Koodo rarely carries larger memory sizes except for 1tb iphones and 512gb samsungs. They’re just not commonly purchased. And I don’t believe Koodo intends to carry Motorola flagships, as they tend to be vastly outsold by Samsung and Apple.
If you need bigger memory, then you need it. Thing is, Koodo has a relatively smaller phone lineup. They might carry a newer motorola in time, but the edge 50 ultra in particular came out April 2024. If Koodo was going to sell it, they would have.
I was going to suggest a galaxy A54/A55 but Koodo isn’t currently offering that. Since you could then use a micro sd card for those still to give you all the space for music you need.
The S25 ultra is the same length, and 5mm wider than an edge 50 ultra, so I personally think the size differences are minimal in terms of bulkiness.
If your priority is very large storage, you’re kinda limited. If you’re sure 512gb won’t be enough, then I suggest looking for a phone with a micro sd slot. You won’t find a middle to high end phone at Koodo atm with that. You could buy direct from Samsung, but there aren’t any good deals atm. If you’re patient, you might hold out for the next Black Friday deals in November. If not that patient, look around for whenever Samsung offers bonus trade in deals. Rakuten currently gives 8% cashback oin their site too. But 1TB 25 ultras are $1839 atm, so you’ll really want to take advantage of bonus trade in offers as they come.
There are other options for buying phones in Canada too with other retailers that’ll fit your needs.
