additional charge on bill

I live in Alberta.

But my first bill charges a PST in the amount of $4.76.

I need to dispute this wrong charge due to no PST in AB.

Did this help you find an answer to your question?

Tax is based on the number, not your location. Do you have an AB number?

No I don't have AB number. I've been used this number with other providers in AB and they never charged pst. Koodo is the only one charging me the pst.

Rogers and other carriers are doing the same thing though. Here is one example on Rogers forum https://communityforums.rogers.com/t5/MyRogers-Rogers-Apps/PST-Charged-in-Alberta-on-BC-Area-Code/td-p/520378

By this logic, if I set up my phone with an Alberta phone #, I would be PST exempt?
