ad is incorrect - want a refund on my new account

Hello, you have an active ad on social media saying your $27.5 plan includes usage across Canada, US, and Mexico. After signing up I realized this is not the case and a lie.

 

i would like an immedia cancellation and refund of the esim since there was false ads , consumer rights.

Did you activate at a Best buy store? Have you confirmed with the Best Buy rep about it before activate the plan?

no i ended up purchasing directly on Koodo matching the plan price.

I signed up after seeing a Best Buy promotion showing the $27.50 plan could be used across Canada, the US, and Mexico. When I signed up with Koodo I then realized the plan is Canada-only different from what BestBuy said. I’m still within the 15-day trial period, so I’d like to cancel the line and request a credit for the eSIM activation fee.

So that explains it. Koodo's online plan isn't the same as offer from Best Buy. Best Buy customers have a better offer with Mexico and US roaming.

What you can do is to schedule a call back and ask a rep to match it. Hopefully they can do it for you.

It may not be a lie and could actually be available at Best Buy. 

In some cases, plans that are bought from the Koodo store, authorized dealers, and third-party retailers may be different from the one on the Koodo page. This is pretty common for exclusive deals that are only available at the physical stores, which may be subject to a $80 connection fee.

You can send an email to the Koodo Web Store at koodo.webstore@koodomobile.com and ask them to cancel your order.
