Accidentally made SIM inactive

Hi there,

I returned from an overseas trip today where I had used an E-sim. I accidentally made my SIM inactive and have no access to messages etc. Going into settings - cellular - I get this message: “Conversion completed, your SIM is no longer active and can be removed from the SIM tray” Anyone had experience with getting theIR SIM re-activated without having to go to a KOODO location? Thank you

Hi there,

So if you setup a call back a rep may be able to reactivate the previous sim just have the number they call be one you can answer, however a lot of the time they're a one time use kinda deal. If you're able to I suggest you just pick up a replacement sim card and follow the link to replace it, that way you wont have to wait for a rep to call you. As long as it is a koodo sim card for your service (prepaid or postpaid) you can do the swap, So you can actually get them from places like Walmart wireless or best buy if that is closer for you just make sure it is the sim card for the service you have 🙂👍.

Did you make your Koodo SIM an e-SIM by conveting it? If so, your SIM isn’t “inactive”. It’s still active but just under an e-SIM.

Thanks Robert. I checked SIMs and No e-SIMs are being used. My Primary number remains the same but status still shows ‘inactive’.
