Prepaid unlimited canada-wide calling - outgoing and incoming?

Prepaid plans that have unlimited canada-wide calling:  Some of the prepaid plans descriptions on the koodo pre-paid webpage specify they include unlimited incoming calls, but most do not (just saying, unlimited canada-wide calling).  That some specify incoming and others do not makes it unclear as to what is actually included under the ‘unlimited canada-wide calling’ banner.

Do ALL plans that say they include unlimited canada-wide calling actually, definitely for sure, include both outgoing and incoming calls for free?  I want to change plans from an older base plan that did not include any minutes, to the cheapest one which says it includes unlimited canada-wide calling, but need to be sure it actually includes both incoming and outgoing minutes.

Also, if i change, will my automatic top-up remain in place and active … and, do i have to add funds for the new plan, or will it just charge my registered card (and apply the auto top-up) as usual on the date the new plan comes into effect?

Here's the thing: Yes, if your Koodo prepaid plan says “unlimited Canada-wide calling,” that means you get unlimited free outgoing and incoming calls anywhere in Canada—no need to worry about minutes for either as long as you’re in Canada. You don’t pay for incoming calls on these plans either.

When you change your plan, your auto top-up stays active. You don’t need to add extra funds if your balance or auto top-up covers the new plan’s cost; it’ll just charge your saved card or use your balance as usual when your plan renews.

Thank you, Robert.

i saw that page (the link to the website), and actually that was one of the things that prompted me to seek clarification here … because, in addition to the ambiguity I mentioned above (that some plans specify  incoming and others don’t, making it unclear as to if incoming is standard to all plans), the website content at the link you posted, under the ‘Canada-wide Plan’ heading, is also ambiguous as to incoming calling -- it only specifys outgoing calls as part of the canada-wide plan, but then notes that if you travel to another province, then incoming calls are included.

Other than on just one or two specific plan descriptions, I cannot find anywhere on the Koodo website an actual definition of Canada-wide calling that states incoming calls are included!  That omission is worrisome.

Appreciate your clarifying this for me … but I have got to say, It sure would be nice for Koodo themselves to offer a clear definition.

The reason is a historical one.

There was a time when service providers were only providing a certain number of outgoing minutes and unlimited incoming minutes.

It gets blurred when all of the service providers, including Koodo, moved to unlimited Canada-wide calling. At one point, they even worsened the plans to offer province-wide calling instead. Luckily, it has since reverted back to the status quo and has stayed this way.

That is why you will see a wide variety of different descriptions on various plans, but you can be assured that it does include unlimited incoming calls, as long are you located within Canada when you take the call.
