Prepaid Call Forwarding

I am extremely frustrated with the lack of transparency regarding Call Forwarding on Koodo prepaid plans.

I attempted to set up Call Forwarding exactly as instructed on your official help page:
https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/call-forwarding
However, the feature does not work at all, despite my prepaid plan clearly advertising the following included calling features:

Voicemail 3, Call Display+, Call Waiting, Call Forwarding, and Conference Calling.

When I contacted Customer Support, I was told that Call Forwarding is quietly disabled for all prepaid customers.

If this is true, this is completely unacceptable.

  • Why was there no communication to customers?

  • Why is Call Forwarding still being advertised as an included feature?

  • How is this not misleading to prepaid customers who rely on accurate plan details?

Hey,

Koodo prepaid doesn’t support call forwarding; it’s postpaid only, despite the help page wording. Try these troubleshooting codes anyway: dial ##61# to check status, or 61*your10digitnumber# to set (use voicemail access number from *#61#).

Support info can lag; advertising mismatch is a known gap. Test regular calls first? Airplane off, restart phone, good signal? What’s your exact error message?

Prepaid call forwarding can work only with “non reachable” conditions
You can find more information here

This is exactly what we tested—Call Forwarding Unreachable *62*…..# — and it was directed to a “...goodbye” message—pointless and completely unacceptable.

Which phone model are you using? Have you tried to use the phone settings to setup call forwarding. As well, are you currently residing in Canada and the forwarded number are a Canadian number as well?

Are you currently residing in Canada? As well, is mobile data settings is on? From the screenshot, I can't see if it worked or not. Did it work?

Yes, I am in Canada. Yes, mobile data is on.
Despite the setup showing as successful via *62*…..# or phone settings, it is NOT working.
If it were functioning correctly, this issue would not be under discussion.

Just to confirm, did you turn off your phone? After that, when you called the number, did you reach your voicemail or something else?

Eh, it is a question of Yes or No. And yes I am serious about the question.

If you still find the issue unresolved, you would have to schedule a call back from a Koodo prepaid rep www.koodo.com/chat
