Porting my phone number from monthly postpaid plan to prepaid plan

Hi there,

I am a Koodo postpaid customer with two lines in my account.  I have received a physical prepaid sim card from Koodo. Following the instructions to activate the prepaid SIM card and port one of my lines from postpaid plan, I met some issues.

Issue 1: Koodo is not listed in menu of Previous service provider.
Issue 2: two lines share a single account number in postpaid plan.

It looks like I can’t move forward. Pls advise.

Hi there,

Can you try putting your previous provider as Telus and input the correct account number for your koodo account? In my experience this does the trick. 🙂👍

  1. Can you leave the field of previous service provider “blank”? If not, you might have to schedule  a call back using their digital rep www.koodo.com/chat
  1. For prepaid, there is only one number per one account. You would have to create 2 different prepaid accounts for 2 postpaid number.

Hi DereckSh and guys,

I have had the same issue in porting my phone number from postpaid to prepaid. So could you please advise me about it? Was it successful for you?

Many thanks,

Thanh

So you weren’t able to leave the field blank when attempting to move to prepaid?

Two ways to port your number from postpaid to prepaid.
1. Choose Telus as previous provider.

2.Call a rep.
