Question

number doesnt work, login doesnt work, atrocious service

Omar Khalid

I paid $140 to transfer my phone from Bell to Koodo.

Now, my number doesn’t work. When I try to log in, it doesn’t work. Even when I reset my password, it says it doesn’t follow the guidelines, even though it does.

Koodo doesn’t have a phone number for support, and their AI chatbot is incredibly stupid.

This truly feels like a complete waste of money. I’m beyond mad right now.

Did this help you find an answer to your question?

You can tell the chatbot that you want to speak to a rep, it will schedule a callback on any Canadian number you choose. That said, how does your number not work? Did you port it in or is your old line at Bell still active?

Oh I see, so your line isn’t working then, not just your number right? What didn’t work with scheduling a call?

Ok, you can only schedule calls to a Canadian number. Tell it you need to talk to a rep (just those three letters) - it seems to work for me….

Alternatively, you can send them a PM on either Facebook or X. That is not live chat though, so expect some delay in their reply.

How did it cost $140 to port? Is this the $70 connection fee you’re talking about?

If you have a port in process, you can call  1-844-232-7678.

What did the Koodo Assist say when you tried to ask for a callback? The Postpaid Koodo Assist will accept a large number of keywords to schedule a callback.

You also need to not use the last 5 passwords if it tells you the guidelines aren’t met. Is this a postpaid port?

So your Bell sim was an esim and did you get a physical Koodo sim or did you get a Koodo esim voucher and add it?

Hi @Omar Khalid, sorry to hear about your number. Is this for a prepaid account or postpaid? If it is postpaid please log out of the Community and log back in, using your Self Serve account credentials as shown in the picture below. We can check to see if the port has been completed.

Let’s take a step back here.

Did you sign up for Koodo prepaid or post paid.  Also how did you sign up?

So Koodo prepaid is having self serve issues and Koodo is aware of the problem.

Since everything was working fine last month, did you transfer your number successfully last month?

Was your ported over Bell number working on your Koodo prepaid line last month?  Bascially was the port successful when you completed this?

You cant login because Koodo prepaid self serve is having issues right now.  Koodo is aware of this problem.  It has nothing to do with you.  It is a koodo issue that they are working on fixing.

If everything was fine last month, it sounds like your port of your number from Bell to Koodo prepaid was successful.

What likely happened is that your base plan expired and since you are unable to login to your self serve you are not able to see this.

I recommend you call 611 on your koodo prepaid line.  Even if your baseplan is expired you should be able to call 611.  You should be able to top up your account via credit card over the phone.

Once you top up, your baseplan should auto-renew and use your top-up.

You may need to restart your phone afterwards, but your line should be back up and running after doing all of this :D
