"Not enough funds" 2 days after renewal


My account is in auto-pay and was renewed 2 days ago. The payment went through on my credit card.

I just received a message from 4010:
 


I logged into my prepaid account and my status still says “active”.

 

What is going on?

It might be just a glitch from Koodo, I would ignore it and continue to monitor your account.

Hi there,

are you actually able to use your data texting and calling or is it shut off? As it could be just an issue with Koodo prepaid, there has been a few recently.

If it is shut off and your payment did go through, you would need to schedule a call back with a prepaid rep via koodo assist as reps on here have limited abilities with prepaid.

Just logged into my Koodo Prepaid account through SMS 2FA and I see account status is Active. Still quite concerning to have received a message that says “Urgent action required!” from Koodo.

That is poor grammar. Are you sure it was from Koodo? I definitely wouldn't click on that link (or any link)

Yeah, I got it from 4010, where I also get Koodo/Telus promos from. Not familiar if short codes can be spoofed by phishers.

True, my account is fine, but it’s pretty annoying to have received it twice already. Guess I’m also posting here to see if anyone else has experienced this.

Short codes can be spoofed by phishers.  Also different legit companies can send texts via the same short codes sometimes.
