Winback promotion call

Hi, I got a call from 833-896-0450 regarding some winback offer from Koodo which seems to good to be true especially when I am not an existing Telus customer. They also sent a verification text message from '35353' and even email from 'telusservice@i.telus.com'

Not sure whether this is legit or some scam. Can anyone please confirm whether this email address and phone number are legit ones or not.

Thanks.

The call from 833-896-0450 and the email from telusservice@i.telus.com regarding a Koodo winback offer are likely legitimate, as the winback team uses such numbers and emails for credit checks and promotions. But Koodo advises caution: they recommend verifying any offer by asking for a promotion code and confirming it via your Koodo account or customer care before sharing personal info. If unsure, contact Koodo directly through official channels.

Interestingly I received calls from some strange numbers and was wondering the same.  I went on Reddit/ Redflagdeals and found people who had Koodo win back numbers.   (Who are really from Telus interestingly).  1-833-896-0428 was what I called in with. However when they called me back I got calls from a number others had reported as spam before.  Not sure if those were spoofed numbers or if people reported them as spam out of suspicion or an abundance of caution.

It's most likely the second scenario more then the first one.

The winback phone number is legit.  You are right to be cautious, but if you schedule a callback with the winback line and the callback arrives on-time, you should be good.
