Why cant i use my data service


I did buy a simcard with a prepaid plan service and activated it. i did activate the simcard in my phone and the data seervice itself. it does not work, i can receive calls, call people and send SMS but data is not working. re started my phone many times. waited 3 days to see if it simply was “activating” but nothing. i logged in in the koodo web and in fact my service includes 60gb. it says i have used 0b.
my phone is an infinix HOT 30i. they told me it was fine when i got it. is it incompatible? if it is, can i get a refund? it costed me 40 dollares and just wanted the data.

I assume that you have data enabled on your phone?

The Infinix Hot 30i appears to have the proper bands for data service. Are you able to put the sim card in someone else’s phone to see if data works with a different device?

Prepaid typically does not have refunds, but you can schedule a callback through Koodo Assist Prepaid to see if a new customer with buyers remorse can get refunded.
