When does rate plan changes take effect?

I was running out of data on my current plan so, with one day left in my cycle, I upgraded my rate plan.

Now I seem to have lost all of what remained of my data and the upgraded amount, which is 10 GB is not showing up. My account shows only 658 MB data remaining which is much less than I had before I made the switch. It is showing that my other data amounts are 'expired'.

How long does it take for changes to take effect? It said 15 minutes but it's been hours now and still no increase in my data availability.

And is it just me or is Koodo Assist totally useless?!

When you change a plan in the middle of the billing cycle the price if the plan and the data both get prorated for the rest of that billing cycle. If you only had one day left in your cycle then you would only get 1/30th of the 10GB. If you have 658MB sounds like you may have actually had 2 days left in your cycle but what you are seeing there is correct.

@Ingrid Allan is indeed correct. We did mention in the email we sent you right after changing the plan that certain aspects would be prorated.

That said, there maybe an opportunity to highlight the specific sentence, so thanks for sharing your experience!
