I want to change to a US/Canada plan for travel next week (no tab) instead of using data roaming. How soon does the new plan take effect? I want to use my phone in the US as I do in Canada (not having to turn on Airplane Mode and rely on wifi).

Hi there,
when you switch your plan it is effective immediately. So as soon as you reach the confirmation page, your plan will have changed to the CAN US plan you choose. Now just keep in mind that you will receive a prorated amount of data when you switch your plan. So for example, say you’re half way through your bill cycle and switch to a 60GB plan, you will only have access to 30GB until your next cycle. There will also be proration fees on your next bill.
