What does exactly 'Canada-US-Mexico roaming with data, talk and texts' mean?

Yeah, the “Canada-US-Mexico roaming” means you can use your plan’s talk, text, and data in those three countries without extra charges; basically, your plan works like you’re in Canada.

The 3-Day Easy Roam International perk is for when you go *outside* of Canada, US, and Mexico. So if you’re heading to Europe, Asia, or anywhere else, those 3 days let you use your plan there too, without paying the daily $18 fee for those days.

Yes - what the plan does is allow you to use your plan in the mentioned countries like you never left Canada. So it would allow unlimited mins, texting, and whatever data comes with the plan that you choose.

The same goes for the international roaming but is only limited to 3 days per the perk duration.

The only problem is that it doesn’t say if its unlimited minutes. 

Just says Canada US Mexico roaming with data talk and texts.

It specifies 60gb of data and unlimited texts but doesn’t say if minutes are unlimited so I just wanted to check that. 

Yup so there is unlimited minutes included in the plan for those countries as well. As I said, all it does is let you use your plan in those countries like if you never left Canada.

But thats a good point though! I Will flag a rep so that they know about the mistake and can make the adjustments to the wording shown - good catch.

Im sketched out about this too. Plan is useless to me if it doesn't include unlimited Canada calling. I'd assume it would but I've been fooled by assumption before. 

Yeah I can see why 😅 rest assured all koodo plans excluding the $15 starter plan comes with unlimited canada wide calling and texting so you would be good in Canada. With these plans the difference is that you can use the plan free of charge in the additional countries that are included.

Yup, from Canada or the U.S, Unlimited calling and texting (including text, picture, and video messaging) is included with Canada-US plans. More can be found below on the specifics under FAQ. 🙂

Calls to Canadian numbers are included while roaming in the US or Mexico, similar to Koodo’s Easy Roam US, which explicitly covers phone calls to Canada from the US.

why do the details say 1) roaming rates apply outside Canada (for Shock Free Data) 2) perk list includes 3-Day Easy Roam US and 3) Unlimited Long Distance Pack.

This is just old wording that remained from non Can-US-Mex plans

Correct.  As long as you are connected to a Canadian, American, or Mexican tower, there will not be roaming charges.  Data will be used and charged the same as if you were at home in Canada.

One last question on this subject. With he unlimited calling, you can use this calling from Canada TO the US and/or Mexico? You can call from US back to Canada? Mexico back to Canada?

When travelling in US or Mexico does the phone need to be set with Roaming ON or OFF?

Data roaming needs to be turned on in the phone settings so you can use it in the US or Mexico.

For calls and texts, make sure you have the International Voice roaming and International Data roaming are provisioned to your plan.
