I put my phone on vacation mode and paid the $15 per month......thinking I would be able to start back with my plan when I returned. That is a joke. I paid the $15 for 5 months and when I wanted to resume service...I had to take a plan that is $18 per month more. What was the point of paying for vacation mode. A sick joke Koodo.

Unfortunately, for that length of time away, there is no guarantee that you will be able to retain your original rate plan. Koodo does mention that your current rate plan might not be available upon your return.
Well, I think that you found the point. I would grant that legacy plans get phased out eventually and reps are no longer able to add them back if it gets changed, but I cannot speak to your particular plan.
We often advise people here to not take seasonal hold plan if they have a good old plan they don't want to lose.
