Trying to change plan, getting the "try again in an hour" error

I’ve been trying to change my plan all day and I’m getting the “can’t choose perk, try again in an hour” screen. It’s also been happening for months as I’ve recently been trying to change my perk as well. Clearing cache, incognito, new browser, none of those have worked.

Can I get some help in changing my plan? I’m seeing people getting their plans/perks changed on the backend by a rep. Trying to switch to the current offer of $55/mo for 60GB and the 5G Speed Boost perk.

In the future, can a store change my plan for me or will they get the same errors?

That error is on Koodo’s side, not your browser, especially if it’s been happening for months and across devices.

A couple of quick things to confirm first:

  • Are you currently on a Tab / financing?
  • Is your line on a seasonal hold, suspension, or special/legacy promo plan?
  • Are you already using a perk right now?

If nothing unusual there, this needs backend fixing so a rep can manually move you to the $55/60 GB + 5G Speed Boost. Stores can’t override that system error; they’ll hit the same limitation.

Hi @wtang7

We are sorry to hear you are having issues updating your plan in self serve!

Just to double check, if you try to change the plan without selecting a perk, are you able to complete the change?

Not selecting a perk doesn’t work either. I get the same error screen. I’ve tried it on different devices and browsers.

I’m trying to change my plan to the $55/60GB + 5G Speed Boost.

@wtang7

Will you please confirm the last two digits of the phone number in question?
