I am going to be in Australia for over two months.   Koodoo has no Travel Pass available for Australia and the Easy Roam is $18/day.   Probably much more economical to get a SIM card in Australia, yes?

Yeah, you’re spot on. At $18/day for two months, you’re looking at like $$$$ just for Easy Roam (plus whatever you actually use). Getting a local Australian SIM is definitely gonna be way cheaper.

Since there’s no Travel Pass for Australia, your options are basically: stick with the $18/day Easy Roam, pay crazy pay-per-use rates if you don’t add Easy Roam, or grab an Aussie SIM when you land. The local option almost always wins for extended stays like yours.

Pro tip if you do go the local SIM route; turn off data roaming on your Koodo line so you don’t accidentally rack up charges. You can just keep international voice roaming on if you wanna stay reachable on your Canadian number for emergencies, but just be aware of those pay-per-use rates if someone calls you.

I would look into a travel esim.

There are quite a few sites.  Recently I had to do some research for my mother in law for here trip to Taiwan, South Korea, and Australia and Mya Mobile was very good for price and connectivity

You should definitely post this as an Idea. If there are enough upvotes, Koodo may consider including it as an Easy Roam Travel Pass.

If you need your Canadian number to receive any incoming text messages while abroad, you can schedule a callback through Koodo Assist and ask the rep to switch you to the $15 250MB 3G plan. https://Koo.do/Chat
