I am currently on a plan with Koodo, with a Koodo Samsung phone, and I just paid off my Tab. I just received a new Samsung phone as a gift, and I'm not sure how to switch my current plan over to the new phone. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, it is easy. All you need to do is take the SIM from the old phone and put the new one (I assumed the new one is compatible with Koodo network). You don’t have to do anything with Koodo unless the old SIM doesn’t fit into the new phone.
If you want to transfer your data from the old one to the new one, you can use the Samsung Smart switch app https://www.samsung.com/ca/apps/smart-switch/
