Stream+


I’m having trouble activating Discocery+. It’s been 4-5 days since signing up for Stream+

You should’ve received an email with a a link to signup. Did you ever receive it?

You should also see a list of the subscriptions in the mobile services section of your self serve account and be able to activate it there.

I did not receive that e-mail. The other 2, I just activated by hitting the activate button under add-ons and it worked fine.  The Discovery+ just will not work.

What sort of error(s) are you getting when you click on the activate button for discovery+?

No errors. It just keeps going back to ‘activate’ after circling a little.

Do you have a second device (phone, computer, etc) that you can try it on? Or can you try using a different browser?

I’ve tried it on my phone and iPad without success.  🥲

@Dancerpat I see both Netflix and Apple TV activated, so that’s great.  And indeed discovery+ would follow the same steps. Clicking the ‘activate’ button should take you to their site.  I had no problems activating, but let us take a look and try to figure out what maybe happening.  Please give us till tomorrow to see if we are aware of anything.

@Dancerpat Apologies for the delay it took longer than expected to narrow down what the issue maybe. It seems like the issue is only impacting people with a Safari browser (iPhone or iMac).  For some reason Safari is treating the ‘activate’ button as a pop up. If you go to your phone’s setting (i see you have an iPhone) find Safari and turn the “block pop-up” button off thing, and it will work. Or if you do it in a different browser other than Safari. I hope this helps.

  

Thank you so much. This solved the problem. I have activated it and everything is working fine. 

My question is before I sign up and add my existing Neflix and Discovery, with I be charged extra from these streaming services or will the $25 plus tax be the only charges and you guys will take care of the payments to these services?

@Kjensifyme56 “Once you add Stream+, you can link your existing accounts for these streaming services to Koodo and keep your watch history, preferences, and account settings. Your billing will also transfer over to Koodo.”

So...as soon as you activate the services, after signing up for Stream+, the billing will transfer to Koodo. And indeed the $25 plus tax  (which is an over 20% savings on what you would pay individually) covers charges. 

I signed up myself. It was super easy and well worth it.

Thanks so much.  Because I already use the Netflix alone cost me close to $25 I believe it's well worth me switching too.    Also have the Discovery plus and wanting to add the ApleTV as well.
