Reactivating same phone number after 5 months

Hi, 

I had a phone number and plan with Koodoo but cancelled my plan back in October as I moved back home (overseas). My CRA account is connected to this number and I therefore cannot log in (to do my taxes) because I cannot receive the one time passcode. Is it possible to reactivate my account with the same phone number???

If the cancellation happened more than 90 days, your number has been likely returned to the number pool of Telus/Koodo, someone might take that already and noone can promise you could activate and use the number again.

As you are overseas, what you could do is to contact Koodo via Facebook/X messaging and ask a rep. Links are below at the bottom of this page.

Another option is to contact the CRA to get the number for your account changed. They should be able to do it over the phone with a rep for security purposes.
