I don't suspect I'll get anything in terms of compensation for my last month, but I wanted to say... The fact that the 3 months free of prime is then automatically added as an add on to your service is so sleazy. Nearly all streaming services with free months offers give you a warning before they renew, but the fact that koodo ADDS A SERVICE to your plan without consent is gross.

I was able to cancel for next month, but the suprise higher bill this month after a a tough time financially this past month was not fun.

I’ll be honest with you, this is how all subscription services work.  The free trial rolls into the paid version after the free trial is over.  This is not new and unexpected.  It is common practice. 

 

Is it nice when some of these services send an email?  Yes.  But it is not the regular practice.  Consider this a lesson learned if you are new to subscription services.  I have fallen into this trap many time in the past, that I now refuse free trials unless I know I will cancel or I am willing to pay the regular pricing afterwards.
