I am currently in Europe and I need to make some calls back to Canada. Is there some plan I can get to make that cheaper? Or will I have to pay the $0.8/min for all my calls?

Hey,
Yeah, you’ve got two solid options:
Easy Roam – $18/day (max $320/billing cycle) covers calls to Canada plus local calls. Day resets at 11:59pm.
Travel Pass – 14-day Europe pass ($50) or 30-day ($60) includes unlimited talk to Canada and local calls.
Travel Pass is cheaper if you’re staying 2+ weeks. Easy Roam works better for shorter trips. Both beat $0.80/min pay-per-use.
Alternatively, create a free Fongo account : it’s a free VoIP phone application that will let you make those important calls back home.

Easy Roam covers calls to the country you’re currently in + call to Canada (back home). I’ve edited my response to add a different option.

To clarify, international Easy Roam is $18/day.
Also I am not sure if there is a cap per billing cycle anymore. An verbiage around that seems to have disappeared.
