That perk allows you to send messages from Canada to any number worldwide for no extra charge.
My free perk I picked
Unlimited International SMS and MMS.. What is this? Does this mean I can text the states free? Cause I don't wanna be txting the states n being charged for each text
Also I tried to txt an american number while using wifi calling wirh no cell service and it wouldnt work.
The text message did not go through because there was no cell service. Assuming you just ported over to Koodo, did you restart your phone? It should work after you try again.
It worked for Canadian numbers but not for American numbers over wifi calling. That's where I'm confused
I texted no problem my mom who has no data or wifi calling but it didn't work for the American number over wifi calling
If your mom has no wificalling or data, did she have cell service to receive your text?
She had cell service.. So why is it not working for me to txt a American number that I know has service. Is it cauae it's over wifi calling? N I don't have service? So it only works to txt Canada over wifi calling when u don't have service?
What phone are you using? What phone does your mom use?
not sure why that matters the phone. Just a cheap android phone. I know the txting works in Canada I was wondering why it was not working to send to the states via wifi calling with no cell service
I was wondering if your message was sent to your mom via RCS (through wifi and not via wifi calling).
Otherwise Wifi calling should work to send SMS and its location shouldnt matter.
Are you able to send US texts via cellular network successfully?
not sure I haven't been in service yet since I got my sim card Friday.
Just tried a other number To the states n it worked. But still not to the other one I tried at first. N the person says their phone is up and running. But at least I know it works on some numbers I guess
If it works to your mom and to another US number, but not to this one number, the issue may be on their end.
I think the testing you have done shows that Koodo’s wifi calling is likely not the issue here.
