My iPhone still shows temporary number even though I changed it 2 days afo

My husband added a new line for me on his account. We got a temporary number for my line. Then I changed the number. It’s been 2 days and my iPhone settings still show the temporary number even though I can call and text using the new number.

Can Koodo reset my account or something?

Your iPhone showing the temporary number even after changing it on Koodo is common during the porting process. Since your new number works for calls and texts, the temporary number display is likely cached in your iPhone’s settings, especially for iMessage and SMS. To fix this:

  • Restart your iPhone.
  • Toggle iMessage off and on in Settings > Messages.
  • Check Settings > Messages > Send & Receive to ensure your new number is selected, not iCloud email or old number.
  • If needed, reset network settings.

Koodo can refresh settings from their side, but usually these steps resolve the issue. If problems persist, I can flag a rep for you.

If incoming and outgoing calls and texts are all working as the new number, and your self serve account shows the new number, I wouldn't worry about it has no effects on your services and it's just a minor visual glitch that will resolve on its own over time.
