Multiple purchases of Easy Roam Unlimited talk and text 7 days USA

I’m travelling to the US for 13 days. The only Easy Roam multi-day package offer I see is the “Unlimited talk and text 7 days USA for $40.” I figure I can buy one for the first 7 days, then buy it again for the last 6 days. But how exactly should I do this?

Option 1: Buy the first one, and then on day 6 or 7 of the trip, buy the second one (i.e. BEFORE the first 7 days has finished). Will this work or will the Koodo system just ignore it because I would already be within the 7 day window for the first one?

Option 2: But the first one, wait until it’s finished, and then on the 8th day of the trip, but it again. If I use my phone to buy the second one, will the Koodo system treat that usage as triggering a one day Easy Roam purchase (because there won’t be any multi-day package active at that exact moment)  and charge me $10 extra for that one easy Roam day?

I believe you could follow the option 1, top it up before the new 7day period start

Hi there,

So you would actually go with option 2. The automated system to purchase a pass won't allow you to buy another of the same pass twice until the first is used up or expired. So if you attempt to purchase on day 6, it just won't let you. You would have to buy another on day 8.

But fret not! as texting 7626 is free in Canada and while roaming. As long as you only text 7626 once your first pass expires and not make a call or use data until you do, you won't get charged. More details on this can be found in the link.

I would not recommend the option 2 as you might have to pay $14 for one sms
If for whatever reasons you can't activate another travel pass, send a message to Koodo Facebook/X and ask a rep to add it for you before start using it.

I agree with Dinh here as you might also accidently roaming on Day 8 and incur roaming charges before you add the travel pass.
