In tab bonus confusion

Can someone explain the “in tab bonus” part. For ex: the iPhone 13 retails at $1,583. I understand the monthly tab charges $39 for 24 months which would be $936. Where I am confused is that the in bonus is $647. In that 2 year period it never covered it…Does that part get paid or is that a deferred amount to own the phone outright? Help I’m confused as to what purpose or where that $647 is going

Hi there, @Quelsz   The TAb Bonus is paid monthly by Koodo, it reduces automatically over 24 months. The only time you would have to pay the remaining TAB BONUS, is when you cancel or renew before your 24 months are up.
