I want to change my plan but am only given the option to add a line. It's an all around better plan. Right now I only get 16GB for $50 and the new plan is the limited time 20GB for $39, but in order to get it I need to add it as a line to my current account.
If I add the new line, am I stuck paying for two lines? Or can I cancel the old $50 one and proceed with the $39?

If you do that, you can't keep your current number. Also, if you cancel the first line and if there is some Tab left, you need to pay off the balance plus pay back tab bonus too. It can be really expensive.
