I have a unusual circumstance. When you call Canada from Cuba and call collect are you still charged the easy roam feature ?

Also if you do not have easy roam is there a charge ?

I know with a landline ( at least there used to be ,not sure now ) there are no fees as the other person accepted the charges is it the same for cell phones ?

When we were in Cuba in April ,we needed to contact our travel insurance, didn't know we were to call collect.

Planning ahead for Winter and need to know if I should put easy roam on.

Thanks

Dee

If you use your phone for voice, data or sending a text you are charged roaming.

Roaming means using another carriers network. Long distance charges and collect call charges are a different category of charges.

However if you are roaming, there is no need to call collect since easy roam in lncludes long distance calls from your travelling Country back to Canada.
