Downgrading a Prepaid Plan

I have a quick Q on downgrading a prepaid plan.

I just recently activated with 25$ prepaid plan that has unlimited Canada-wide minutes.  Realizing that I won’t need “unlimited” - the 15$ Prepaid plan with 100 mins of Canada-wide will be sufficient.

My question is:  how and when will the billing and charges occur?

  1. Will they charge me another 15$ in order to get this downgraded plan (forfeiting my original 25$)  - OR -
  2. Will they give me a 10$ credit (since I’ve paid 25$ already for the original 25$ unlimited plan?)

Also - should I just wait as I get closer to the next billing cycle to downgrade?

Anyone have experience with downgrading?

Thanks

The best day to downgrade your plan is one day BEFORE it expires/renews. So say that your plan is scheduled to renew on the 24th, the best day to change it would be the 23rd. That way you get the maximum out of your current plan without losing any days.

Edit: you asked about when billing occurs - that should be shown in self serve:  https://prepaidselfserve.koodomobile.com/

If you change your plan mid cycle you forfeit your $25 plan you will start the new plan for a new 30 day cycle for the full $15
