Is there a way for me to purchase Koodo device protection (or whatever it’s called) for a non-koodo device? If so, how.

I don't think you could. They only mentioned about their device and if you purchased the phone from Koodo https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/device-care-complete

Dinh would be correct. It has to be either a Koodo (or Telus) purchased device.
