CAR7PASS text does not work. 7626 says its an invalid

Texting CAR7PASS to 7626 does not work. It comes back and says it's an invalid code.  I want to add it for a trip to Mexico, I already have easy roam.

Just to confirm, are you currently residing in Canada? I wonder if there is issue with the short code.

And I assume you are a postpaid customer?

Yes on a monthly plan, and am residing in Canada. It describes also how to access a US plan, so it should be for Canadians?

That is strange. If possible, could you post a snapshot of the error here? Hide all personal information before posting please.

The Koodo's 7626 short code is typically for roaming notification and travel insurance. It should work for plan eligible with easyroam. Also, I assume you had easyroam loaded in your account.

By the way, do you have the perk of 3 day international roaming perk in your account?

Do either of you happen to have the 3-day Easy Roam International Perk added? This is different than just the Easy Roam Add-ons.

If so, the passes conflict with the 3-day perk if the destinations are the same as they can’t be stacked, so for this it would be the 3-day international Easy Roam perk and can’t be used with a pass that includes the same countries (Caribean + Mexico).

You can check which perk you have in self-serve by going under “My Services” and then click the “My Add-Ons tab”. Have either of you also recently purchased a pass or is this the first time?

Having the exact same issue and error message.

My present perk is the 3 day US plan.

I am trying to add CAR7PASS

My international roaming is set to on

Travel Perk

$0 3-day Easy Roam US

 

The perk activates once you land in your destination country with roaming turned on. Your travel perk gets used first, then Easy Roam daily rates or pay-per-use charges kick in on the remaining days. Heads up: If you select the Easy Roam Travel Perk, you'll be ineligible for a Travel Pass.

 

I do have the travel perk for US but am trying to purchase the CAR7PASS - so it’s not like I am trying to stack.

I would have no problem dropping the free US 3 day perk but time might not allow adding the Caribbean plan.

Problem is that you can only change your free perk once per billing cycle and the change begins on the first day of the next cycle (as I understand it).

I tried to koodo assistant and requested an agent but that option did not connect.

I did the Koodo assist, but doesn’t help very much, as I was escalated to tech support and they aren’t calling me until tomorrow

Ah I see ​@C and T . Yes you're correct that you should be able to. The stacking is when the pass and the perk share the same destinations - so in this case you're good. However, you would not be able to purchase the US pass.

Ive notified the reps, it is taking longer than usual but they should respond here at some point. Hopefully they can provide more information.

Correct. It should only be the US pass that I cannot buy which makes sense. Well, we’ll see what happens. in the next 24 hours.

I was also unable to activate CAR7PASS by texting 7626 - I Used Koodo Expert Messaging and the tech enabled it for me via an on line conversation

My addons now look like this

  • Caribbean Easy Roam 7 Day Pass  $0

I am having the same issue and I would like to add the CAR7PASS for the 60$ to my account as well im leaving in the next hour and should land in cancun around noon.
