Please explain how CAR7PASS works.  Does it actually allow one to use the cell phone at the same rates as if still on your own plan and in Canada for the 7 days of use?

CAR7PASS gives you your regular plan rates for 7 days in the US, Mexico, or Caribbean; no surprise roaming charges. So if you’ve got unlimited texting at home, you get it there too. Same data speeds, same pricing structure.

Only catch is it’s per destination, not all three at once. Once the 7 days end, you’re back to regular roaming rates unless you grab another pass.

What destination you thinking about?

thank you so much for the fast response! I am going to Cancun, Mexico. So if I use up the 7 days while there (10 days) can I text CAR7PASS again before the 7 are up to get 7 more (even if I don’t need all of it)?

This almost seems to good to be true, so I want to clarify calls as well. Can I also phone any of my contacts without long distance or roaming charges?

Yeah, you can totally stack passes. Text CAR7PASS to 7626 again before your first 7 days expire and you’ll get another 7 days added on. So for your 10-day Cancun trip, grab one pass day 1, then text again around day 6 or 7 to activate the second one. You’re covered the whole time.

On calls; yes, same deal. Your regular plan rates apply, so if you’ve got unlimited calling in Canada, you get unlimited calling in Mexico too. No surprise long distance charges while the pass is active (as long as call are too Canada or Mexico).

Thank you so much Mobile Master! What a relief.  I wish it was better explained and/or easier to find on the website. Glad you are here! 🤗

Eh, I don’t think you can stack that easily. You have to remove the existing pass before you can add another one. It is a process that you might need assistance of a rep.

That shortcode might not work with overseas carrier while roaming.

You have 7 day of roaming with easyroam rule applies. https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/easy-roam?

Calls should be made to numbers in Canada or the country you are traveling in. Dialing any other international number is subject to extra roaming fee.

Okay, thank you as well Dinh!  I will be cautious and keep my phone off as much as possible, hopefully it will last.
