Will be in Mexico for 2 weeks. Do I need to renew my CAR7Pass after 7 days and, if so, does that involve just retexting CAR7PASS to the 7626 number ? thx in advance.

According to the Koodo page, the text message will not trigger the Easy Roam feature, so you should be fine. https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/set-up-and-tips-for-traveling-with-your-mobile-device
If you would like to add Easy Roam, simply text ROAM to 7626 and follow the steps to enable it. Texting to 7626 is free in Canada and while roaming, and it won’t activate the Easy Roam daily fee. It may take up to 30 seconds to receive a response from 7626.
You need to first remove the add-on from your Self-Serve account and then send the text message to renew the Easy Roam Travel Pass.
Apologies, just to paraphrase;………….when I approach the 7 days of use and go online, there will be a travel pass (NOT Easy roam) add-on that will now appear that needs to be REMOVED on our online account before renewing via Texting CAR7PASS to 7626 ?
Thanks for your patience. We recently used the european 14 day travel pass and found it super easy to activate and everything was billed correctly, but we did not need to renew. Wish there was that option for the Caribean/Mex as the renewal process seems to add some steps that are not obvious. thx again for any advice

Final question LOL…… i trust I can renew prior to the 7th day and simply over write the first 7 day pass ?
Once the add-on is removed, it will no longer be effective. That is when you can send a text message to start a new Easy Roam Travel Pass.
If I remove the add-on online, and then text to set up a new 7 day pass, will KOODO then ding me with the 18$/day easy roam charge because I used the text feature in country during the 5 minute window where I would not be under the travel pass coverage.
Let me confirm that about getting charged for messaging the Koodo shortcode. I don’t believe it’s been made clear anywhere. Receiving calls from Koodo while out of country does not incur roaming fees, so I’d like to think sending a text to Koodo to enable a roaming fee would also act the same.
