My mom bought a $65 plan that comes with a new iphone with the intent of using the $65 plan with her old phone, and giving me the new phone to use with a “bring your own phone” $35 plan. Is that allowed? Or is the new iphone locked to the new $65 plan?

+4You can use the phone on any line you like. It doesn't even have to be with koodo.
No problem at all. I bought an iPhone with plan (I really just wanted the plan) and gave the phone to my husband, who is on Prepaid. He just popped his SIM card into the new phone and has been using it ever since.
