Have had Koodo / Telus provider for years in same location.  Both my wife and I received a “Welcome to USA” text message and loss of service.  She uses a different provider, but that provider uses the same Telus network.  We both do not have a network connection still. (10:08am - 10:57am)

Is (/was) there some kind of outage or upgrade?

Where are you residing? Was it near us border?

could you go into your phone settings and disable automatic carrier selection? Try if you can see Koodo in the manual search and select it.


yes, near border, but i’ve lived here for years without these issues.  Looks like it’s trying to connect to T-mobile.  Is the correct network Koodo LTE, or 4G?

Thanks for the suggestion about disabling automatic carrier selection.  Would that limit connection continuity when traveling though?
