Hi there,
if your base prepaid plan does not include US calling or texting then you will need the $15 US Roaming add-on.
You can add this through your prepaid self serve and it will expire after 15 days post purchase. This will allow you to call and text in the US to US numbers and back to canada.
Note if you want data, you will have to purchase an additional roaming add-on.

No - you will be covered by the unlimited minutes that come included within the bundle if you're to call either people in the USA while you're travelling or calling back to Canada.
If you intend to call a number from a country that is not the USA or Canada while travelling, then you will need the long distance minutes in addition to this.
You would also need long distance mins if you're still in Canada calling to a USA number. The benefits of the bundle only work while you're travelling in the USA.
My plan is from Canada and it has unlimited calls in Canada. Does this change your previous answer.
No. The key thing is just calling the USA and if you're travelling or not.
If you wanna call the USA from canada and US calling is not included in your plan - you need long distance minutes.
If you want to call canada and numbers in the USA while travelling in the USA - you need the US roaming bundle.
