worse phone company

Koodo is by far the worse phone company now.  Suspended my lines twice every month for missed payment due to them charging me the 70 extra reconnection fee twice a  month and i cant get ahead because of the service fees. Its robbery. This company is greedy and has shit service

Have you tried contacting Koodo before being disconnected in order to arrange payment or if a charge is unjustified, dispute it?

Hi there,

The company is allowed to charge a reconnection fee if they cut of the service for non-payment. However, at any time you can go on a payment plan so that you can get ahead and stop being cut off.

To go on a payment plan, the option can either be found in your self serve or you can schedule a call with a rep. I suggest you do this to discuss alternative options.

Just note if you come to an agreement, you have to make the payments on time, or they will cut you off again and not allow another payment plan.

Yes. Multiple times I have spoken with them and made payment arrangements that do not show on profile so payments were missed twice and now the multiple  reconnection charges are stopping me from getting my Bill paid completely off.  Koodo suspends for one month missed payment now. Its price gouging. Making the bill to high to pay off by adding reconnection fees at 70 dollars extra twice a month for me which stops me from being able to afford the bill. Kodoo needs to add payment arrangements on profile. As well as give more then one late payment chance before suspending service. Horrible company now. Used to brag about koodo. Now I advise friends and family to go elsewhere for phone providers

Is there an issue with your payment method? You may want to follow up with your credit card company or bank to see why the payments are not going through.

If you want to speak with the billing department, you can dial #227 on your phone. It will work even if your service has been suspended.

We understand that getting the reconnection fees can make it harder to pay your bill off completely.

When making a payment arrangement in self serve, an email confirmation with a summary of the payment arrangement is sent, which includes the amount and the date expected for reach payment.

The payment arrangement option appears in self serve in case of an overdue amount and if the account is eligible, the next three options show up:

  • Pay Now
  • Set up a Payment Arrangement
  • Tell us you've paid this balance

The reconnection fee is only applied in case the account is suspended due to missed or not made before the dates in the payment arrangement summary.
