Hi Koodo, I'm a new customer. I signed up for boxing day plan lately.

I went to a koodo store and take a new SIM card. The staff helped me to change it. And I paid about 90 dollars over there. Is it for Sim card?

*I already paid connection fee

Thank you

Hi @Sophie ch, welcome to Koodo! Store fees are not added to your account so we don’t have a lot of information about this charge. Did you go to a Koodo store or a retailer?

We can see a $70 connection fee and refund on your first bill, so the charge you mentioned is not related to this. A SIM card is generally $15-$20+ tax.

Did you get a receipt, can you post a picture of it here? Please make sure it does not include any personal information as this is a public forum.

Hi there,

To add to Georgia, it is likely a support setup fee. This is so that reps can be paid for taking their time to aid you with miscellaneous problems that are not related to selling. Depending on the tier of support fee you're charged, they can provide certain services. The pricing is $15, $30, and $60.

If you purchased a sim which is commonly $10 to $20 and were charged the highest support fee, this will come to the $90 after tax, at least for my provinces tax rate. The fee will be outlined on your receipt from the store as a setup fee. I hope this helps 🙂👍
