I purchased a new phone in February 2024.

I also purchased a Kate Spade phone case and a Pure Gear Screen Protector….total purchase was $ 112.98.

The screen protector has cracked and the phone case is defective. I went to kOODOO  as they are under warranty and now the company doesnt sell these items any more and the phone is discontinued. They told me I could buy another case for a discounted price  of $62.00….

I try to get my screen protector replaced and you dont carry any in stock so now it will cost my $22.00 to have this item shipped to me.

What a absolute disgrace to have this wonderful service when you buy a phone but only to find out it is a big scam!

How is this a scam?

Koodo does not provide the warranty for accessories.  If there is a longer term warranty on these accessories (they are 9 months old now which is a long time), it would be through the product’s company.

For example, for Otterboxes with longer warranties, you can file a claim for defects through them.

I have never heard of screen protectors having much of a warranty.  They are basically made to break so that it protects your actual screen.


Unless you get a screen protector added at a retailer that has a replacement warranty, when it cracks or breaks, you need another. My suggestion is for the future to get tempered glass screen protectors off of online retailers, such as amazon or aliexpress or anywhere else of your choice, and install it yourself. It would be significantly cheaper.

Yes I see here that the warranty for a replacement is a 22 USD charge to ship to Canada:
